Sea Food in Alexandria

One of the highlights of going to Alexandria was the incredible sea food. We ate mussels, shrimp, fried and grilled fish, as well as crab. Everything came as a whole animal. One of the other highlights was an all you can eat ice cream stand as long as you saved your cone you were entitled to free refills!

Alexandria

On our day off we drove the 1.5 hours to Alexandria. It is located right on the Mediterrian Sea. We were able to walk around and visit the library.

Baseball

Being flexible is a must. I went to Wadi thinking I would coach American Football but they didn't have it. So I ended up coaching baseball. I had a wonderful time coaching and helping the kids grow. They all did a traffic job and made tremendous improvement. The goal at the beginning of the week was to play a game by the end. We accomplished that with a tremendous game on Saturday with Team 2 (the Cubs) beating Team 1 (the Braves) 13 to 12. John, from the Atlanta team, was given quite a few Braves caps which we gave to all the baseball players!

Pool Time

Every one loves pool time. It is great chance to cool down and get out of the heat. It is also an excellent opportunity to hang out with the kids and talk with them. The second photo is of Erik doing a belly flop. They were having a splash contest. He did survive!

Delay

Sorry about not posting anything new lately. The internet here is very slow and hard to connect to. I am thankful for it but it makes it really hard to download pictures. I will update everything when I get a good connection. Thanks to all of your for your prayers and for caring enough to check!

The Zip Line

Here I am helping with the zip lines. The campers have to climb the rock wall to the top of the tower and then take the zip line down. I am helping by getting them off of the zip line.
